May7-June 12 2023
BLUSH, a two person exhibition featurred the work of Alexandra Wisenfield and Brad Eberhard and opened on Sunday, May 7.
Alexandra Wiesenfeld is a German-born, Los Angeles-based artist who has exhibited throughout the United States and in Europe. Her work is held in public and private collections throughout the nation and internationally. In this exhibition, she will be showing multiple large-scale oil paintings, smaller oil paintings, and works on paper.
Existing in a space of constant flux, Wisenfeld explores alienation and optimism, terror and mythology, and abstraction and the fantastical in glorious paintings that vibrate with color and energy. She captures in her work emotions on a constant low boil bringing them to the surface in explosive sheer force.
Brad Eberhard is a native Californian and a Los Angeles-based artist predominately known as a painter who has exhibited extensively in California and beyond. His work is in multiple public and private collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, among others.
For BLUSH, he will be exhibiting hand-built ceramic sculptures, many of which have not been shown before.
Eberhard’s lyrical objects appear to be the offspring of something familiar but not entirely identifiable. They are simultaneously process-oriented and intuitive- applying color, form, line, and narrative in a variety of methods, resulting in serious work that is also fun.
